Frances qualified with a BSc (Hons) degree from the University of East Anglia in England in 1997.  She has regularly attended courses for ongoing professional development throughout her career; covering the treatment of Musculoskeletal conditions through NZMPA; a multitude of Pelvic Health conditions; Vestibular Rehabilitation and Cervicogenic Dizziness; Clinical Pilates; and Neurological Rehabilitation.

 

Frances worked in the UK, mostly within the field of Neurological Rehabilitation, until 2005 when she moved to New Zealand.  After arriving in NZ, Frances worked within Lakes DHB offering Neurological and Vestibular Rehabilitation; then under the ACC Serious Injury Service and Concussion Service until 2014.  Since 2014, Frances has been working at Te Ngae Physiotherapy, where she has set up a Vestibular Rehabilitation service and a Pelvic Health service, in addition to working with patients with musculoskeletal issues and offering Pilates for rehabilitation. 

 

Her passions lie within the fields of Pelvic Health and Vestibular Rehabilitation.  She enjoys working with women throughout their pregnancy and beyond; optimising continence and aiding a return to activity in a safe and sustainable way.  She feels passionate about helping those with prolapse to manage their issues conservatively when possible and offers a pessary fitting service.  Frances loves working with patients with dizziness and balance difficulties and can treat a range of conditions that cause these distressing symptoms including BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo).

 

Frances is married to Alex and they are proud parents of 2 children and a multitude of fur babies.  She loves the lifestyle Rotorua offers and enjoys regularly mountain biking and walking the dogs.
